Welcome back to the weekly Top 10 list. Each week we come up with a topic, go create our separate lists, and then come together to create a top 10 consensus. This week with Coco coming out, we have decided to do Top 10 Pixar movies. There are many great ones to choose from so here is our list.

10. A Bug’s Life

Personally, this is one of my favorite animated movies of all time. A Bug’s Life is a great story about an ant trying to prove himself in his community of bugs. Flick and the circus bugs are great characters and Hopper is still the best villain in Pixar history. This is the most underrated Pixar movie.

9. Inside Out

This film is the newest movie to be on this list, and it definitely deserves a spot here. It brought so much emotion and made me feel like a kid again. Amy Poehler as Joy gives a terrific performance and shows how a little sadness in your life is not always a bad thing. This is the only Pixar worthy movie to me since 2010.

8. Toy Story 2

Here we have the second movie in the illustrious Toy Story franchise. All three of these films are great, but two is the lesser of the three. Here we are introduced to Jessie and Bullseye who are great additions to these toys. This film taught us what it’s like to forget a toy and made us all sad.

7. Wall-E

Now here we have a movie that is Pixar’s most risky film to date where most of it is has no dialogue. What makes it work is how loveable Wall-E and Eve are, as well as their relationship. It gives a bleak look at what a possible future could look like, with a positive tone to it.

6. UP

Now here we have a movie that was a huge surprise to everyone. Such a strange premise turns into a feel-good story about not giving up on life. It’s first ten minutes are tragic, but by the end you are happy. It is one of only three animated films to get nominated for best picture. One of the other films will appear later on this list.

5. Monsters, Inc.

Now we have one of Pixar’s earliest films here with a movie about monsters. Something that could be so scary, is actually a great story with loveable monsters. Billy Crystal and John Goodman have great chemistry as Mike and Sully and have a great relationship with the child Boo. This is a great movie that made kids not scared of monsters under their bed.

4. The Incredibles

Now here we are with what might be Pixar’s most popular movie. People have been praising this movie for years and demanding a sequel. It is the story about retired superheroes trying to fit in and gives a modern take on the superhero genre. It was ahead of its time, and the sequel should be huge.

3. Finding Nemo

Now we get to what might be Pixar’s most beloved movie, and my personal favorite. Finding Nemo is a story about the lengths a father will go to in order to find his son. It is a feel-good story with great characters and one of the largest settings in movie history. The ocean is so huge, and they really take advantage of it here, and it works so well. This will always be a beloved movie.

2. Toy Story

Now we get to the movie that started it all. The movie that tells a story of what our toys do when we are not around. Without this film, we would not have any Pixar movies. Toy Story does such a good job at showing how a disruption to a norm can cause so much tension in a group. Tim Allen and Tom Hanks will always be Woody and Buzz to us and we can’t thank them enough for the movies they have gave us in this franchise.

1. Toy Story 3

Finally, we reach the number one Pixar film of all time. Toy Story 3 is the third film in the Toy Story franchise, and is such a great way to wrap it up. It reminded us of what it feels like to grow up and made us all want to play with our toys again. It is also the other Pixar film that was nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards. We thought this would be the last time we’d see these characters, but in 2019 they will return. Not sure how to feel about that but, even if the movie is terrible, we will always have this special trilogy.

There we have it, the Top 10 Pixar films. What do you think of the list? Go ahead and let us know. Did we miss something of make a mistake? Did a Cars film deserve to be here or Ratatouille? There are many great Pixar films and cannot wait for Coco. See everyone next week!
