Welcome back to the weekly Top 10 list! Every week we come up with a topic, create our separate lists, and come together to create the consensus CST Top 10. This week with the release of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle the sequel to Jumanji, we felt that there was no better time than now to celebrate Robin Williams. He has had many great films so here we go with the Top 10 Robin Williams movies.

10. The Birdcage

To start off the list, we have a comedy in The Birdcage. This is a wonderful comedy with stereotypes all over the place that makes for good entertainment. Robin Williams is hilarious here as usual and helps to carry what could’ve been a difficult story, into a nice movie.

9. What Dreams May Come

At number nine, we have a serious, dramatic story in What Dreams May Come. This is the story of a man who dies and then searches for his wife in both heaven and hell. This is a sad story where Williams gets to show his dramatic chops to audiences. It is not the most re-watchable film, but certainly a good one.

8. Insomnia

Next up at number eight is one of Christopher Nolan’s earlier works in Insomnia. This is a gripping story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Williams again is dramatic here and delivers a great performance with an exceptional cast and is a great entry into Nolan’s impressive filmography.

7. One Hour Photo

Next up at number seven is One Hour Photo. This a story about a photographer who becomes obsessed with a family. This movie is thrilling and keeps you entranced the entire time with you waiting to see what happens next. Williams again shows how good he is and what a chameleon he is by jumping into different roles.

6. Hook

At number six, we have a beloved film in Hook. This is a modern take on the story of Peter Pan which sees him returning back to Neverland. This movie has its passionate defenders and people will forever love it. Peter Pan has always been loved, but here, it added more fans.

5. Good Morning, Vietnam

Starting off the top five, we have one of Robin Williams earliest films in Good Morning Vietnam. This is a lovely story where a radio DJ is assigned to go and broadcast in Vietnam during the war. Williams gives it his all here, and delivers lines that are still quoted today. It is such a fun film.

4. Dead Poets Society

Coming in at number four we have Dead Poets Society. This is the story of how an English teacher encourages his students to look at poetry a different way. Williams is inspiring here as the teacher, and you really believe him in this role. This also has one of the most iconic scenes of all time with the students standing on the desks.

3. Mrs. Doubtfire

At number three, we have what might be Williams most talked about role in Mrs. Doubtfire. This is not only a funny movie, but a dramatic one as well where a man just wants to see his children again. When people think of Robin Williams, this is one of the movies that comes to their minds first.

2. Aladdin

Just missing the top spot is Aladdin. This is one of Disney’s most beloved films and Williams is a huge reason for that. He plays the genie here who is seen as one of the most irreplaceable characters ever. This movie is loved by kids and adults, and has carried on from generation to generation.

1. Good Will Hunting

At our number one spot, we have the all-time classic Good Will Hunting. This is a film that everyone has seen and created so many careers. Williams delivers his best performance ever here and wins an Oscar as a result. This movie is endlessly re-watchable, and has gone down in history as William’s greatest films ever.
