Hey people. Steve here with the latest Hump Day article. A couple of things before we get started. I’ve been asked a lot about the movie I am most looking forward to this summer. It isn’t Avengers or Mad Max. It’s not Pitch Perfect 2 or that Backstreet Boys movie that is coming out (that is the movie that Scott is most looking forward to). The movie that I am most looking forward to is Entourage. Yeah, I said it. I am actually right in the middle of watching the HBO series all over again. It was that GOOD. Yes, there may be other shows that have been better, but this one was different and it helps that the episodes are pretty short (25-30 min). Let me just be Ari for a day. Just. One. Day. Alright, that is enough of that – more to come.
Side note – Wilmer Flores just hit a game tying homerun for the Mets in the 7th against the Braves.
Batman V Superman
What a mess this entire thing with the leaked trailer was, eh? When Warner Bros announces that they would be having an IMAX trailer event, I just had this funny feeling that some jackass would be slick enough to leak the trailer. What a moron. That being said, what a trailer it was/is. We get our first look at Ben Affleck as Batman. Just like I said – he is going to be just fine as Batman. People are already backing off their once very harsh stance that they have taken since he was announced as Batman. Other than Batman we get to see what Superman is going to have to deal with AND for those of you that did not get to see the IMAX trailer, you missed something intense at the end. Just picture Superman on one side and Batman on the other and they begin to charge at eachother until the screen goes black. HOLY BLEEP!
Here is the trailer in case you have been hiding under a rock and haven’t seen it yet:
I have watched exactly 0 minutes of live NBA Playoff action. I do get caught up with highlights, but I just haven’t had the fire in me to watch any of the games live. That’s all I’ve got. Maybe the next round. I’m not bitter over the disaster that is my New York Knicks. Move it along.
Side note – Lucas Duda comes through again. Mets lead the Braves 3-2 in the bottom of the 8th in search for their 10th straight win.
Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather
Is it me, or was there more talk about this fight when we all thought that it would never happen? I’m not saying there is no talk about it, but I would expect that with 10 days to go all the buzz would be about this and not much else. Now, I understand that the NBA Playoffs are on and Avengers: Age of Ultron is coming, but I guess my thought was that people would be more pumped by now. Maybe next week.
That’s all for this week, but before I leave you: PUT IT IN THE BOOKS!! Mets win! 10 in a row!
