-For the millions of fans of the MMO World of Warcraft, you might be excited to learn that a new expansion for the game has been announced. The expansion, called “Legion”, will be the six one for the game and will introduce a new continent as well as a new race. The newly accessible area is called Broken Isles and the new race is called the Demon Hunter class. The expansion will also introduce some other changes to the game like a brand new honor system and it will also raise the level cap to 110.
-Your companion and guide in the game Destiny, known as your Ghost, was previously voiced by the actor Peter Dinklage, famous for his role as Tyrion Lannister in Game of Thrones. I say previously because with Destiny’s newest upcoming expansion, voice actor Nolan North (famous for voicing Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series) will take the place of Dinklage as the voice of Ghost. Nolan North will not only be the voice of Ghost in just the new additions to the game brought with the expansion, but will actually re-record every line of dialogue for the character from start to finish.
-Time magazine recently released an issue in which a man wearing an Oculus Rift dancing on a beach is shown on the cover of the magazine. The words “The Surprising Joy of Virtual Reality” are printed next to the man, and what a joy it’s been to see hundreds of people across the Internet Photoshopping this ridiculous image into many hilarious situations and environments. This was probably one of the worst possible ways for Time magazine to show the world the “surprising joy of virtual reality”, but what’s done is done, so might as well have some fun with it.
-The game director for Final Fantasy 15 finally gave us a more reliable release window for the much anticipated game. Although he didn’t specifically say that the game will come out sometime in 2016, he did say that it definitely won’t be ready in time to release this year, but also won’t take longer than 2017. So, yeah, he basically did say 2016. Also, new trailer was released for the game which enlightens us a bit more on what we can expect from the story in Final Fantasy 15, as well as other FF 15 details courtesy of Gamescom 2015.
-Three important things were announced for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and for once, it’s more good than bad. First, the release date for the game on PC was moved up so that it will now launch along with the console versions of the game on September 1st of this year. Yay! Second, online multiplayer will not be available at launch for the game. Console gamers will have to wait until October to play the multiplayer while PC users will have to hold off all the way until January of next year. Booo! The third and last piece of news is thankfully a good piece of news. All people who pre-order the game on STEAM for PC will receive the game’s prologue MGS 5: Ground Zeros for free. Yay again!
