John Wick: Chapter Two

In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.

Scott’s Take

John Wick: Chapter Two is that rare action movie that comes close to hitting the brilliance of the first film. Ten minutes into Chapter Two, you will lose count on the actual body count and you won’t be able to breathe until the end credits roll. Do yourself a huge favor and go see John Wick: Chapter Two this weekend! (4.5 stars out of 5 stars)

Steve’s Take

Watch this trend. I missed this screening this week.

The Lego Batman Movie

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO (R) Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure: “The LEGO (R) Batman Movie.” But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Scott’s Take

Everyone is raving about The Lego Batman Movie and if it is half as good as The Lego Movie than I will be all smiles.

Steve’s Take

I missed this screening.

Steve’s Take

I did NOT miss this screening, although I wish that I had! Pure nonsense. It is some bad acting and some bad writing. 0 stars.

Next Week

I think this is a week to check out two movies. John Wick and Lego Batman. If you want to light money on fire go ahead and see Fifty Shades Darker. Next Week we have Matt Damon in The Great Wall, A Cure For Wellness, and Fist Fight. Have a great weekend everyone.
