Power Rangers

A group of high-school kids, who are infused with unique superpowers, harness their abilities in order to save the world.
Scott’s Take
I get it, people love the Power Rangers. I just don’t see why. We posted a giveaway for PR tickets and you all crashed our site like it was Star Wars. This one is going to be BIG. Sigh.

Steve’s Take

I feel the same way about this as Scott. I know the Power Rangers has its niche and I remember watching the show every now and then, but I had no idea that you all would crash the site for these passes. I’ve heard nothing but good things from those of you that were huge fans of the show.

Chips

This big-screen adaptation of the famous TV series from the 1970s and ’80s stars Dax Shepard and Michael Peña as a pair of California Highway Patrol officers. Ryan Hansen, Jessica McNamee, Kristen Bell, Vincent D’Onofrio, Maya Rudolph, and Adam Brody co-star. Shepard also wrote and directed.

Scott’s Take

There are some funny parts in CHIPS but they are mostly what you see in the trailer. The writing is at times is cringe worthy and there seems to be a reliance on penis and ass jokes. Some people will get a kick out of CHIPS, but sadly for me, this is a movie you should grab on Redbox. (2 stars out of 5 stars)

Life

Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.

Scott’s Take

Life looks like it borrowed from every science fiction movie ever made. At the same time, it looks very entertaining and has one hell of a cast. I will be checking out Life this weekend.

Next Week

I’m going to check out Life this weekend, so that will be my pick of the week by default.  Next week we have ScarJo in Ghost in the Shell, The Boss Baby, and my girl Jessica Chastain in The Zookeeper’s Wife. Have  a fantastic weekend everyone.
