This is the End

The comedy This Is The End follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption. (c) Sony

Scott’s Take

I have been so busy with screenings lately that I haven’t had time to get to This is the End.  I touched upon this in yesterday’s podcast.  In a summer that has been extremely weak in the comedy department (I’m talking to you Hangover 3 and The Internship), This is the End is clearly the funniest film you will see this summer.  I love how Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill and company play themselves.  I thought it was a bit too long for my taste and is at times very uneven, but overall, I laughed my ass off.

Next Week

That’s all we have for this week. Obviously, Man of Steel is the movie a lot of people have been waiting for and in my opinion, the movie of the summer.  Don’t listen to all of the negativity.  If you like comic book movies, you will LOVE this modern day version of Superman.  Next week we have two more big films with World War Z with Brad Pitt and Monsters University.  Have a great weekend everyone.
