New on Netflix: June 2019

Hey all – Steve here. May is in the rear-view mirror, so it is time to look forward to what is hitting Netflix in June! We get our final season (for now) of Jessica Jones on June14th! That is all I’m leading with this month – check out what is hitting Netflix throughout the month below as well as my usual witty (or boring) commentary. Check it out and let me know what YOU will be watching this month on Netflix!


Available June 1
“Arthdal Chronicles” (Netflix Original)
“Oh, Ramona!” (Netflix Film) – This one looks like it has some promise, but we shall see. Oh, clearly for adults only.
“50/50” (2011) – I absolutely loved this tear-jerker. It is so well-done, but it is about the dreaded “C” word and not for everyone.
“A.I. Artificial Intelligence” (2001) – This was a one and done for me. It’s not that I didn’t like it, but not one that I ever saw again nor would I want to see again.

“Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day” (2011)
“Batman Begins” (2005) – Great start to the Batman trilogy!
“Cabaret” (1972)
“Carrie” (1976) – There are too many people that have not seen this one. I haven’t seen it in forever and I would love to see if it holds up at all.
“Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” (1958)
“Dynasty”: Season 2
“Good Night, and Good Luck” (2005) – Damn good flick – Iron Man before he was Iron Man.
“Gran Torino” (2008) – Enjoyed this one – another one and done for me.
“Life in the Doghouse” (2018)
“Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa” (2008)
Magic Mike” (2012) – Better than I thought it was going to be.
“Network” (1976)
“Platoon” (1986) – Excellent film – whether you are a fan of war flicks or not, this is one to see.
“Prosecuting Evil: The Extraordinary World Of Ben Ferencz” (2018)
“Satan & Adam” (2018)
“Small Soldiers” (1998)
“The Dark Knight” (2008) – No. Words. Needed.
“The Phantom of the Opera” (2004)
“The Space Between Us” (2017)
“What a Girl Wants” (2003) – Absolutely not.

“Documentary Now!”: Season 3 – Haven’t seen any of these and it will likely stay that way.
