Hey all – Steve here. Labor Day weekend brings with it a new month and with a new month comes some new stuff to watch and binge on Netflix! Before we get to September stuff, make sure you have taken the time to see SCREWBALL. Whether you’re a fan of baseball or not, you are sure to be entertained. Let’s get to it!

Coming

Available September 1

“300” (2006) – 300 is such a great flick and is just filled to the brim with testosterone. I haven’t seen it in quite a while so it might be one that I will revisit this month.

“68 Kill” (2017) – When “Don’t even think about it, skank.” is a line from your flick, you might just be in some trouble. That being said, this one looks like one you could sit through when there is nothing else on and nothing to do. You know those days – you’ve seen everything and you are ordering out using Postmates and you send your teenager to the door to get the food and deliver it the rest of the way.

“American Psycho” (2000) – Absolutely love this flick. It’s fun, it’s quotable and who can forget the soundtrack. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out.

“Dante’s Peak” (1997) – Absolutely not. It is a disaster of a disaster movie. Make sense? No? Don’t learn the hard way.

“Elena” (2011)
“For the Birds” (2000)
“Igor” (2008)
“Loo Loo Kids: Johny & Friends Musical Adventures”: Season 1
“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”: Season 6
“Moving Art”: Season 3
“My Sister’s Keeper” (2009)

“Mystic River” (2003) – A really good film with a nice cast directed by Clint Eastwood. Again – if you haven’t seen this one, you should check it out now that it’s on Netflix.

“Olmo & the Seagull” (2014)
“Open Season” (2006)
“Rebel in the Rye” (2017)
“Scream”: Season 3

“Serial Killer with Piers Morgan”: Season 1 – my kind of show.

“Spookley the Square Pumpkin” (2005)
“Stripes” (1981)

“Superbad” (2007) – A cult classic. Fantastic and hysterical. I know there aren’t many of you who haven’t seen this one, but if you haven’t, just do yourself a favor and watch it.

“The Lake House” (2006) – Reeves and Bullock = great, right? Wrong. This one was absolutely dreadful. At 98 minutes, it is still far too long. Stay away.

“The Last Exorcism” (2010) – I’m somewhere in the middle on this one. I think I will have to revisit to make a final determination.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” (2001) – Clearly I am in the minority on this one, but I have never had the desire to watch any of these. Sorry.

“The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” (2002) – See above.

“The Saint” (1997)

“The Taking of Pelham 123” (2009) – I didn’t hate it and I didn’t love it. I’d watch it if there was nothing else on. It’s Denzel.

“The Walking Dead”: Season 9 – The Walking Dead has been taking a lot of heat in recent years. Season 9 was the highest-rated season in the 9-season run thus far. All that being said…meh.

“Uncle Naji in UAE” (2019)

“You Don’t Mess with the Zohan” (2008) – Just awful. I don’t remember Emmanuelle Chriqui being in this one. I might have to sit through the disaster just to jog my memory.

Available September 4

“The World We Make” (2019) – I’ve heard nothing about this. Looks a bit too sappy for my taste and full of racial tension. I feel like I have seen this movie a thousand times.
