Ralph Previews The Heat Visiting Dub Nation

Remember the last time the Warriors and Heat met? I do. A similar outcome would be appreciated.

The Heat (4-5) play the second of a back-to-back against the Golden State Warriors (7-3) in Oracle Arena at 10:30 EST. Notable injuries include Dion Waiters (out), James Johnson (probable), and David West (out). Miami has made due with injuries in the past, but I don’t think that will matter tonight.

Golden State is coming off three straight road wins with over 112 points scored in all three. Kevin Durant has shined, scoring 30+ points in all three games. Detroit beat Golden State in their last home game 115-107, so look for a bounce back performance from them. Defending champions don’t lose many home games.

Miami is coming off a win in Los Angeles against the Clippers 104-101 in which James Johnson hit clutch free throws with 8.9 seconds remaining to seal the game. They should be 2-0 on the start of a six game road trip (lost to Denver 95-94 on November 3rd) but there’s still four remaining to make this a winning road trip.

My hunch is that Golden State will blow out the Heat tonight. As of recent years, the Heat are a very respectable road team, but will not have the firepower to take out Golden State’s superteam. Look for Goran Dragic and Stephen Curry to light it up tonight, for all you fantasy players out there.

CineSportsTalk staff predictions:

Steve – Warriors win 120-102

Kyle – Warriors win 127-102

Gilberto – Heat win 100-95
