The Sportz Nutt gives us his WWE Elimination Chamber predictions

WWE’s non-PPV but Network Event, Elimination Chamber, is set for this weekend, and, surprisingly, it looks like the best event since Wrestlemania. I’m pretty excited about it, and here’s why:

Neville vs. Bo Dallas
Singles Match

Despite this looking predictable and like a squash, I like the fact that they brought up their NXT history, as well as the whole leg injury angle. I’m a fan of both guys actually, and think there’s so much more they could do with Bo Dallas. However, I think that in the eyes of WWE brass, he’s nothing more than a glorified Simon Dean. I like Neville to get the win here.

(Champions) New Day vs. Cesaro & Kidd vs. The Ascension vs. Los Matadores vs. Primetime Players vs. Lucha Dragons
WWE Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber Match

I’m really excited to see this match, as is my five year old son, who constantly reminds me that New….Day Sucks. However, let’s get this out of the way: Los Matadores, Ascension and Primetime Players aren’t winning the gold, although the latter deserves a shot down the line. Cesaro and Kidd just had them, so I don’t see them regaining it just yet, and while the Lucha Dragons are everyone’s favorite underdogs, winning the titles so soon is actually a detriment to their long term success. Hence, The New Day will rock and cheat to win.

(Champion) Nikki Bella w/ Brie vs. Paige vs. Naomi w/ Tamina
WWE Divas Championship Match

I hate the Divas division, but I think I’ll have a reason not to soon enough. For now, they can keep the belt on Nikke Bella, while maintaining the Paige/Naomi feud, and then have Charlotte up and rejuvenate the roster and redefine what it means to be a Diva.

King Barrett vs. RyBack vs. Rusev vs. Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth
WWE Intercontinental Championship Elimination Chamber Match

Love this format, and the match should be the best f the card that night. I like the Rusev/Ziggle aspect, but they can fight without the belt being on the line in the future. R-Truth is pure garbage (yet my smallest son always yells What’s Up, so he can’t be all that bad, right?). King Barrett is just that, the king, so he doesn’t need a belt. That leaves us with Sheamus, who will win since he’s never held that title before. Sorry Ryback.

John Cena vs. Kevin Owens
Singles Match

Love the Kevin Owens promos these days, and the attacks, and the confidence. It would be interesting to see the NXT Champion pin the US Champion, but, realy, we know that ain’t happening. Usually afeud with Cena means surefire death in one’s career, but Owens is taking off with his. This should be one hell of a match which ends when Samoa Joe interferes. This will either lead to a Cena win via distraction or a Kevin Owens DQ qin. Flip a coin and….Cena wins by distraction.

(Champion) Seth Rollins w/ J & J Security vs. Dean Ambrose
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match

The build up has been awesome. Dean Ambrose looks solid in the main event scene, but he’s not ready just yet. I honestly can see this escalating into a Triple Threat match for the belt at SummerSlam this year, which, although half a year earlier than I expected, to be amazing to even think of. With that said, The Authority always wins, and nothing ill change here as Seth Rollins retains.
