The Sportz Nutt Shares His Predictions For Summerslam!

Today is Summerslam Sunday, and after last night’s amazing NXT Card, the main roster has a lot to live up to. I think they can do it, especially if these predictions go as follows:):

Dolph Zigger vs. Rusev

This feud has been one-sided, since Ziggler has been hurt (*cough *cough filming a movie), but he made his triumphant return last week on RAW and kicked the snot out of Rusve. The focal point has been Lana, and I think, in due time, she will turn on Ziggler, and rejoin Rusev, but it’s too soon right now. So, Ziggler should get the win.

Stephen Amell and Neville vs. Stardust and King Barrett

Simply put, “good guy” celebrities don’t lose on PPV. And seeing as how Amell will be out in his superhero gear, there’s no way that they make his TV character look weak in anyway. Plus, their opponents are guys who are used to taking the losses (despite Barrett’s really nice new t-shirt). Neville and Amell will defeat the villains.

Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper vs. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose

Family vs Family here, as it’s the Wyatts vs the Brotherhood. However, how strong is the bond of the brothers, really? One is a lunatic and the other is a beast. I’m not 100% sold that one will turn on the other, but I can’t rule that out eventually. I’ll say, cautiously, that the Brotherhood survives an all out war, but their bond will be coming to an end soon, setting my prediction of a Shield Triple Threat Match at Wrestlemania Prediction from months ago.

Ryback vs. Big Show vs. The Miz (Intercontinental Championship)

Not many will agree with me, but I see The Big Show winning here. I don’t know why, I just do. I’m probably wrong. (worst prediction ever)

Sheamus vs Randy Orton

Sheamus wins, cashes in a loses later. Bold prediction!

Team B.A.D. vs. Team Bella vs. PCB (Elimination)

Team Bella has looked awful lately, always being the loser, so I’m betting that they win here to look strong before Nikki Bella loses her belt to Charlotte in the coming months. This is all so that AJ Lee won’t have the longest title reign ever, by the way.

Los Matadores vs. The Lucha Dragons vs. The New Day vs. The Prime Time Players (Tag Team Championship)

The New Day has the greatest entrance and gimmick going right now. Big E’s skip is pricelss, Kofi’s excited leap is joyous and Xavier’s enthusiasm is spectacular. In the ring and on the mic, they’re even better. More for bias than anything, I predict The New Day takes the gold.

Kevin Owens vs Cesaro

This one could steal the show. Owens has impressed mightily since his debut, while Cesaro has highlighted many a RAW and Smackdown! in recent months. He definitely took the ball and ran with it when Cena got hurt. I’ll say the Cesaro Section Movement rolls along with a win.

Seth Rollins vs. John Cena (United States Championship, WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

I was torn here, until………Cena came out with a brand new t-shirt that said “15x” on the back, referring to his number of title reigns. Why would they go through that trouble, only to make that shirt obsolete? I see Rollins holding the title until Wrestlemania for that aforementioned Triple Threat. PS, perhaps we see a Kane or a J&J Security return here?

Brock Lesnar vs The Undertaker

Or maybe we see a Kane return here, as he could help his brother get revenge while getting revenge of his own for that broken ankle (*cough *cough filming a movie). Either way, The Undertaker wins here, setting up a winner take all at Wrestlemania in his retirement match.
