Tonight’s Game Preview: Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat

Expect the Miami Heat’s defense to step up in a major way tonight. Ranking 27th in defense, Miami has played pathetic defense so far, which is surprising considering it was a strength of theirs last year.

The Heat (2-2) host the Boston Celtics (3-2) in a potential playoff match this March. Boston will have to last without Gordon Hayward for the rest of the year, but still has plenty of firepower.

I’m expecting a grind it out game. Both teams are talented offensively, but have yet to have a stand out game defensively. The final score will be in the 90’s, and the big men (Kelly Olynyk and Al Horford) will have double double’s.

Here is the CineSportsTalk staff’s predictions for the game:

Ralph: Heat win 98-94

Steve: Celtics win 104-96

Scott: Heat win 95-92

Gilberto: Celtics win 95-92

Kyle: Heat win 102-97
