Top 10 Bears in Movies

Welcome back to the weekly Top 10 list. Each week we come up with a topic, go create our separate lists, and then come together to create a top 10 consensus. This week with Christopher Robin coming out, we decided there was no better time to do Top 10 Bears in Movies. I know you may be thinking how many bears could there possibly be? The answer is many, and it is time to blow your minds. Here are the Top 10 Bears in Movies.

10. Bear from Annihilation

Starting off the list is the weird skull bear from Annihilation. This movie just came out this year and it was spectacular. It was weird but kept you guessing the entire time. When the skull bear showed up you were instantly transported into a horror film. This bear can take the voice of its victims. How messed up is that? He or she is spooky and creepy and is a bear you would never want to see in person.

9. Po (Kung Fu Panda)

In at number nine we have Po from the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Jack Black voices this loveable and goofy panda bear who learns to be the dragon warrior. Po is a master martial artist I the most unorthodox way and leads a team of some of the best warriors out there. Never doubt Po and if I was ever in a fight, I’d have Po by my side. Skadoosh!

8. Fozzie Bear

At number eight we have a Muppet everybody loves in Fozzie Bear. Fozzie is one of the original bears who has such a unique personality. He is the best friend everyone wants. The Robin to Kermit’s Batman. Fozzie and Kermit the Frog are a classic pair who get into every situation and Fozzie puts Kermit in his place whenever he needs to. This is a Muppet that will always be one of the greats and is a worthy bear.

7. Paddington

Number seven on the list goes to a bear who is criminally underrated on this list in Paddington. Paddington is a national treasure who finds the good in every person. He turned a prison into a resort and made everyone in there happy. He just wants everyone to be good and does it effortlessly. The situations he gets into are hilarious and he puts out the best movies.

T-5. Yogi Bear

Coming in at a tie for the fifth position is Yogi Bear. Yogi was originally an old cartoon about a bear who just wanted to swipe picnic baskets or as he would call them “picinic”. Him and his sidekick Boo-Boo would cause havoc all over the park but Yogi always seemed to get out of every situation. Whenever in trouble, Yogi would talk his way out of it and always seemed to succeed.

T-5. Lots-O Huggin Bear (Toy Story 3)

Also tied for fifth is the bear that tried to kill our childhoods in Lots-O Luggin Bear. This bear nearly destroyed some of the most beloved characters in cinema history. Lots-O was a bear that was nice at first but then you find out he has a diabolical side. He was sympathetic and misunderstood but too extreme to be redeemable. He might’ve been Pixar’s greatest villain and carries a legacy of evil.

4. Bear from The Revenant

Coming in at number four is one that was atop nearly half the lists in the bear from The Revenant. This bear is beloved by many people for being the bear that attacked Leonardo DiCaprio. This bear drove the plot of The Revenant where if he never attacked, this movie would not have happened. Not to mention, this bear also put on quite a show in its attack by just decimating DiCaprio to protect its cubs. What a strong bear.

3. Winnie the Pooh

At number three is the bear that helped inspire this list in Winnie the Pooh. Pooh Bear might be the most iconic bear of all time. I grew up with this bear and his journey to do nothing everyday was always to charming. He is the most innocent bear and the most loveable even though he just wants to eat honey all day. He wears what we all wish we could everyday in a red shirt and no pants and that is what a great bear is all about.

T-1. Ted

In a surprise this week there was a tie for the number one position and one of those bears is Ted. Ted is the foul-mouthed stuffed bear that was wished into existence by Mark Wahlberg. Ted is the embodiment of the modern day millennial stoner and he embraces that role. He has a mind of his own and does what he wants, when he wants. Ted is a celebrity and probably the most human of all the bears. You do not want to mess with Ted.

T-1. Baloo (The Jungle Book)

Also tied for number one is Baloo, the loveable bear from The Jungle Book. Baloo is a mentor and a best friend to Mowgli who was lost in the jungle by himself. Baloo is most famous for creating the anthem for all bears called “The Bear Necessities” and making the song one of the most memorable songs from any movie ever. Baloo is the friend we all hope to have and having him be voiced by Bill Murray is genius. Baloo is deserving of number one on our Top 10 Bears.
