Hey all – Steve here. I don’t know what you guys did this weekend. Honestly. You made this movie number 1 and this is the reason why this nonsense is allowed to take place and why these movies are getting made over and over again. It is all your fault and I hope you’re all very proud of yourselves. See what you’ve done? You’ve given Steve a headache on a Monday morning and it’s just not fair. To all of you that contributed to this, please just stop. I want you to think about what you’ve done. Let’s get to it:

1. Ride Along 2

This Weekend – $34 million

Total – $34 million

Alright – so, Ride Along 2 is the champ of the weekend. I won’t ask for names – you know if you are part of the problem.

2. The Revenant

This Weekend – $29.5 million

Total – $87.7 million

This one didn’t lose too much steam this weekend and certainly doesn’t deserve 2nd place. #ThisIsLeosYear

3. Star Wars: The Force Awakens

This Weekend – $25.1 million

Total – $851.1 million

Star Wars

The numbers for this one continue to be staggering. $850 million domestically. Insane – and it wasn’t even on all of the Top 10’s done around the globe for 2015. I’m not saying it didn’t deserve to be – just something to think about.

4. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi

This Weekend – $16 million

Total – $16 million

Probably not deserving of a 4th place opening, but we live in a world in which Ride Along 2 is the number 1 movie of the weekend.

5. Daddy’s Home

This Weekend – $9.3 million

Total – $129.3 million

Last week for this bad boy. I have to admit that I had my doubts, but what can I say after $130 million.

That’s all for this week. We have some shaky movies coming up next weekend, so there may or may not be any changes to this Top 5.
