Hey all – Steve here. Final weekend at the Box Office in September of 2018 is in the books and we’ve got a couple of new flicks in the 1-2 spot. Good to see some new blood in the Top 5. Crazy Rich Asians is finally off the Top 5 after 7 weeks in theaters. Let’s get to it!

1. Night School

Budget – $29 million

This Weekend – $28 million

Domestic Total – $28 million

Worldwide Total – $33.5 million

No offense to Kevin Hart, but I have said this countless times – I like his stand-up more than I like his movies. I just don’t think he can carry anything and it’s because he just tries too hard and is way over the top.

2. Smallfoot

Budget – $80 million

This Weekend – $23 million

Domestic Total – $23 million

Worldwide Total – $38.6 million

This is one that my son wants to see. We will probably do that next weekend, but there is a lot of talk in the kid community about this one. From what Kyle said, Smallfoot could be one that is just fine for kids and adults. Check out his full review:

Kyle says, “There is isn’t much to believe in Small Foot but it will still keep the Big Foot legend alive.”

3. The House with a Clock in its Walls

Budget – $42 million

This Weekend – $12.5 million

Domestic Total – $44.8 million

Worldwide Total – $53.8 million

Listen, it’s enough already with the clock in the wall. My son wanted to see this one, but I haven’t heard him say it in a few days. Thank you, Smallfoot!

4. A Simple Favor

Budget – $20 million

This Weekend – $6.6 million

Domestic Total – $43.1 million

Worldwide Total – $62.9 million

You all know how I feel about this one. If you haven’t seen it yet go and check it out.

5. The Nun

Budget – $22 million

This Weekend – $5.4 million

Domestic Total – $109 million

Worldwide Total – $330 million

Meh.

Wrap-up

That’s all for this weekend everyone. Next week we get the really good A Star is Born and Venom as well. Talk to you guys next week!
