1) Hotel Transyvania 2- $47,500,000

Total- $47,500,000

An expected easy victory. This series has becoome a cash cow.

2) The Intern- $18,225,000

Total- $18,225,000

Not a bad debut for this Nancy Meyers comedy.  It will need strong legs to get in the $75 Million range.

3) Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials- $14,000,000

Total-$51,685,572

As expected a more than 50% drop off in week two. Maze Runner fans front loaded week one’s tally.

4) Everest-$13,090,000

Total-$23,125,805

Word of mouth is starting to pick up a bit on Everest, still, it has a long way to go.

5) Black Mass- $11,510,00

Total-$42,608,179

Word of mouth should get Black mass to around $75 Million domestic.

6) The Visit- $6,750,000

Total- $52,260,680

Already a huge hit for this $5 million film, everything else at this point is gravy.

Like The Visit, this low budget thriller is already in the green. Garnish.

Looks like the church going groups aren’t letting this one drop out of the top 10.  Another low budget big hit.

Audiences wanted nothing to do with Eli Roth’s torture porn.  I saw this one myself and it is wretched.

Sicario opens wide this week, so expect numbers to SOAR. It is that good.
